My First Talk in English with a Native
Two weeks ago I had my first talk with a foreginer in english. That was a huge advance for me, I had been studying english for about three years, but I never had practiced my speaking. My thoughts was like: " I don´t need to speak, practicing my writing is enough". The origin of that thoughts were because I'm a shy person if talking to another person in my native language is hard for me, talking to a foreginer in a language that I can´t speak well was harder. I got inspired by a quote that says: " Fear last seconds, shame last days; but regret last forever" and one of my dreams was to meet a foregin person if I didn´t do it, I would have regret it all my life. It's really hard the first time, my hads were shaking while we were speaking, but then it gets easy. The quote that I read was right: " fear last seconds ". Now I´m so motivated to talk with another foreginers in english and, maybe in the future, to talk to a japanese. I suggest to you to practice your speaking skills with foreginers, it could be fun and you can meet a lot of interesting people. Nowadays is so easy to connect with a lot of people aorund the world.

There's not small phones anymore
A few months ago I began to consider the idea of changing my phone for a smaller one. I had just read a book about digital minimalism and thanks to that I started my quest. But it was all in vain because even if the chips are getting smaller the phone screens are doing the opposite. It feels like I have a tablet in my hand rather than a phone.
After looking for a good two weeks I gave up, but by coincidence my mom bought a new phone and I was able to keep her old one: an almost decade old Iphone 6. And after using it for a month I can't be more happy. The size and weight are perfect and after a battery replacement, it still works like a charm.
Probably is just a matter of time until it becomes useless because of its lack of software updates, but I hope it runs for enough time for other companies to do new compact smartphones. That or I'll probably buy a dumbphone.

Ausflug am Wochenende
Liebe Rana,
Ich habe am letzten Wochenende einen Ausflug nach Beirut gemacht. Ich war mit meinem Familie mit dem Bus am donnerstag losgefahren.
Beirut ist sehr klein Stadt, aber sehr schön. wie waren zwei Tagen lange und haben in einer kleinen Wohnung am Beirut's Strand übernachtet.
Dort gibt es ein wunderschönen Blick und das Wetter war sonnig, aber nicht heiß. am Meer haben wir uns untergehalten und im Meer geschwommen und Abends in Stadt spazieren gehen und einkaufen. Der Ausflug hat mir viel Spaß gemacht und gut gefallen. Deshalb empfehle ich dich nach Beirut fahren, wenn du einen Ausflug machen möchtest.

Warum will ich Deutsch lernen
Ich muss sagen, dass ich Deutsch schon gelernt habe! Ich lernte Deutsch 10 zu 15 Jahren vor in der Mittelschule und der Gymnasium. Sogar ging ich auf Sachsen-Anhalt in Deutschland! Ich habe viel vergessen, aber ich will es gedenken. Vielleicht werde ich dieses Website benutzen, so ich kann das machen.

Challenge, Day 11
First of all, I want to thank everyone for helped and corrected me.
Today was eleventh day of my English challenge. I worked very hard and I wanted to share with you in this site what I did .
Yes, I was so excited to tell evreyone. I wrote down what I did in a daily life,then I spoke to a friend over Skype. we talked in French. Then, I read to her my pragraph. She Specifically said. there were only three mistakes. I was delighted. I can't belive it!!
I aslo read online dictionary some words I didn't understand. I figure after sending an email to friend I am going to read some pages of a book.

ゲーム実況
私はユーチューブでゲーム実況を毎日見ます。子供の時からずっと見ています。11歳ぐらいのときに、「Gronkh」というあの時にドイツで一番登録者がいるゲーム実況者を見つけて、あの時から数年間の間にマインクラフトのゲーム実況を1，2千話ぐらいを見ました！この数字を見たら多分ゲーム実況が好きだとよくわかりますね。
ちょっと年を取ると、英語の実況者も見つけてよく見ましたが、Gronkhさんはやっぱり一番好きでした。でも、去年ぐらい日本語をまじめに勉強したくなった時、日本人の実況者を探して、ポッキーさんと牛沢さんを見つけました。最初は週に一回ぐらいしか見ませんでしたけど、最近結構ハマっています。時間があったら毎日一日中特にポッキーさんの動画を見たいぐらい好きです。
一番好きなゲーム実況はインディホラーゲームの実況だと思います。普通のホラーはすごく苦手なんですけど、インディホラーゲームはグラフィックスがリアルな感じをしないし、ゲームも血生臭いというより怖いですから、私にとって見やすいです。そして、「Phasmophobia」というゲームの実況も全然怖くなくて、4人と一緒にしているゲームで、牛沢さんが友だちのレトルトさん、ガッチさんとキヨさんと一緒にしたらいつもすごく面白いと思います。

Que pensez-vous des transports en commun ?
Ça c’est une question fait pour moi, puisque je suis grand enthousiaste de transports en commun. Ça peut être surprenant, mais, quand je vais dans une nouvelle ville, j’ai hâte d’utiliser le métro, les trams, etc. C’est toujours intéressant en Europe, parce que les transports sont beaucoup plus développés qu’en Amérique du Nord, et donc il y a tellement de nouveaux choses à voir. Bien sûr, des temps en temps ça peut être un peu sale et les gens peuvent ne respecter pas vraiment l’espace personnel, ou bien se comporte un peu mal en public. De ne pas prendre les choses à la légère, occasionnellement, c’est bien plus grave que ça. Mais il faut rester alerte dans tous les cas quand on va dans la grande ville, et les transports ne sont pas une exception. Pour l’environnement, mais aussi pour bâtir un sentiment d’humanité commune, on a tous besoin de sortir de la bagnole un peu plus et compter sur le transport en commun à la place.

Playing with Lego as an adult
Since last year, I have been playing with Lego bricks for a hobby. I'm turning 33 next February, but my friends and coworkers think it's perfectly normal for an adult to play with Lego. A guard from my sister's workplace says that he likes to play with Lego, too. It wasn't like this when I was younger. Lego used to be considered as a kid's game for brain training in my country. However, nowadays, more and more adults are starting to collect Lego sets.
I'm not sure since when the trend has changed, but I have noticed that unlike the Lego products released in the early days, which were usually simple items like patrol car, water motorcycle, or castle. As time goes by, Lego has started launching new sets that are more life-like and sophisticated. My first Lego set, for example, is a pirate ship that can be turned into three forms, a pirate ship, an inn, or a skull island. It has more than two thousand pieces. Later on, I bought and built Winnie the Pooh and Hogwarts castle. Besides, Lego is collaborating with many classic movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars.
In addition to the movie series, Lego launched a cool feature on its website, which is called Lego Ideas. In this section, fans from all over the world are allowed to submit their custom designs and get voted by random online viewers. Once your design gets ten thousand votes, Lego will review and consider launching it into the market. I am most impressed with some of the vintage buildings posted by fans, which even outperform the official Lego buildings, in terms of color scheme and details.
Interestingly, to make Lego products more valuable, Lego is controlling the supply of certain products however popular they are. Therefore, some hobbyists tend to stock up on popular sets. Once Lego discontinues these sets, they will resell for a good price. I personally enjoy picking Lego themes that match with my living room and bedroom. To me, Lego is more than a toy. It's like a work of art.

Modo creativo de vengarse por un robo
El otro día vi una noticia sobre el modo inédito en el que un hombre se vengó de un ladrón que llevaba semanas robándole sus paquetes del patio de su casa. Muchas veces cuando sufrimos un hurto, en nuestra cerrazón imaginamos las maneras en las que podemos devolver un dolor comparable al ofensor para que se arrepienta de habernos perjudicado. Este hombre era ingeniero así que inventó un aparato que cabía dentro de un paquete artificial que no solamente iba a ayudarle a desahogarse de su frustración hacia el ladrón por los hurtos repetidos, sino disuadir que éste volviese a pisar su patio. El hombre dejó intencionalmente este paquete falso que se parecía a uno real para ponerle una trampa al sospechoso de sus robos. Sin fallar, el sospechoso apareció y se lo llevó. Luego cuando el ladrón abrió el paquete en su coche, se produjo una explosión de pintas y purpurina que mancharon todo a su alcance. Además, una cámara integrada captaba fotos del ladrón y luego se las envió a su propietario. Después del segmento que exponía la artimaña del ingeniero para identificar el responsable, la reportera reiteró el consejo de la comisaría que estaba encargada de la investigación del caso. Instaba en que los ciudadanos no trataran de replicar ese modo de venganza porque en el caso que se les fue la mano podrían sufrir consecuencias judiciales por causarle daño físico a un sospechoso.

Moving house
My family and I just moved to a new condo at the end of September. It's located in a convenient spot across from the science and history museum. Better yet, there's a botanical garden and a street lined with exotic restaurants within walking distance. However, the hasstle of moving a house was really exhausting. Technically, we haven't even finished moving all the stuff from our old place.
I remember the last time we moved was when I was in high school, about 15 years ago. Over the years, we have accumulated an incredible number of things like books, clothes, cooking utensils, appliances, plates, potted plants and piles of documents from work, etc. About three weeks into moving, we hired a house moving service to deliver our furniture and the majority of stuff. But still, there're fragile or valuable items we must move on our own. You might wonder why it took us so long to move a house, it wasn't because we were living in a big castle or something, but because we had to sort out and pack stuff late after work, making it hard to be quick.
The major challenge I was faced with was to move everything into a smaller house. It was a tough decision to get rid of stuff we had been using for years, such as a big aquarium my dad and I had been maintaining and two desks we had been using for more than a decade. Especially, I have a soft spot for stuff my family and I have spent a long time with. My sister and I even had arguments over what to keep and what has to be let go of.
During the process of moving, I started reflecting on what is truly essential to a family. Maybe we don't need so much stuff to live a comfortable life. But, I'm sure the idea of minimalism doesn't work for me either. Rather than becoming a minimalist, I personally prefer to find a middle ground.

- People are now living longer, so many of us know their grandparents and even great-grandparents
- There are a lot of families with only one child in it
- People often divorce and re-marry, and their children have stepmothers and stepfathers
- Some people are not getting married again and come back to their parents’ families (boomerang children)
- It is usual now that many generations of the family live in one house.
I think all listed above are typical for our country.

quand j'étais petite...
Quand j'étais petite, ma famille a une chien. Elle est tres beuax et je m'entends bien l'avec. C'était l'été; normallement, je vais dans la campagne avec mes amis. Cependant, cette l'été, ma famille et moi allais sur le plage avec ma chien. Je prendais les temps avec ma famille; manger, jouer, nager! C'était perfect! Ma chien aussi y aimerait parce que il y avait autre chiens sur la plage! En fait, le vacances était genial! Dans le futur, ce serait retrouver sur la plage!

Êtes-vous plutôt littéraire ou scientifique ?
Si j’accepte que cette dichotomie grossière ait du sens, je devrais admettre que je suis, selon toutes les indications, plutôt scientifique. Après tout, je suis ingénieur qui travaille dans un domaine très technique. Mais je crois dans le cœur qu’il faut être une personne complète. Dans le monde de nos jours, de ne pas avoir une perspective suffisamment scientifique peut être dangereux, comme manifestait par la diffusion de la désinformation et les théories complotistes pendant la pandémie. En revanche, on risque par manque de perspective littéraire pas seulement d’être convive ennuyant, mais en effet d’avoir une base superficielle et irréfléchie de ses convictions.

色々な言語が話せる人について
「ポリグロット」という言葉は、色々な言語が話せる人です。例えば、ユーチューバーのLindie Botesさんは10か国語以上離せます。もちろん、全部の言語をペラペラ話せるわけじゃありませんが、せめて基本的な会話ができます。私は2，3か国語しか話せませんから、すごく尊敬します。
Lindie Botesさんはよく「能力じゃなくて、勤勉ですから、だれもできます。」と言いますが、私ならできないと思います。少ない自由時間をすべて言語を勉強するために使うのは大変そうと思います。私はこうみたいな規律がありませんからだと思います。でも、いつか数か国語をペラペラ話せるようになりたいです。せめて英語と日本語が問題なし話せたらうれしいです。他にもギリシャ語と韓国語とフランス語とタイ語の基本を勉強書体ですけど、ペラペラじゃなくてもいいです。言語学者ですから、もちろん言語が好きですから、色々な言語の基本も勉強したことがあります。韓国語のハングルやギリシャ語のアルファベットとかも独立で勉強しました。でも一番好きでぺらぺらになりたい言語核はやっぱり日本語です。私の初恋だと思います（笑）

A small role
Last month a film crew came to my city and I got a small role in their film.
I still can't get over the fact that my dreams have come true at length. The film crew were/ had been looking for a blue-eyed and dark-haired teenage boy which was my exact reflection. Another criterion was to be fluent in Spanish which luckily correlated with my skills. Before my adventure on set started I had had to memorise my part of the script and spent long hours in front of the mirror trying to embody a futuristic DNA scientist creating child prodigies. Although I'm not a born actor and my embarrassment left me tongue-tied at one moment, it was outweighed by the intensity of the music and multitude of dizzying rainbow lights beaming at me.
I would like to invite you over at the weekend so you could watch this film. It would shurely be to your taste as you are such a science geek. Feel free to critically evaluate my acting ability. I count on you to help me discover what was strong and what still needs work.
