When I was growing up, I wanted to become a scientist. I was good at biology at high school, so, I would imagine myself wearing a white lab coat doing experiments all day, discovering the unknown world of the cells and the underlying molecular mechanisms of incurable diseases and saving the world! The company I am working for contributed a lot during the pandemic by providing the researchers around the world with the materials they need to study Covid-19 virus like genes and proteins. Dreams come true, as they say.

When I was growing up, I wanted to become a scientist.

I was good at biology at high school, so, I would *always* imagine myself wearing a white lab coat doing experiments all day, discovering the unknown world of the cells and the underlying molecular mechanisms of incurable diseases and saving the world!

This is optional, but sometimes we use "always" when using would to refer to something that happened often in the past. However, this is a matter of personal preference, so your way is fine too!

The company I am working for *has* contributed a lot during the pandemic by providing the researchers around the world with the materials they need to study Covid-19 virus like genes and proteins.

Like above, this is a matter of preference. If the present perfect is used, it means that the company is still contributing. If the past tense is used, it could mean that your company isn't contributing anymore. It all depends on what you want to express.

Dreams come true, as they say.
