Whether adult education is meaningful？
Upon graduating with a bachelor's degree, I started my professional career and have worked for 16 years. At first, my degree was in high demand, especially since I graduated from a 211 Project university(A kind of top tier university). But nowadays, I find it is less and less in demand and a master degree is more and more essential. Many institutions have specific requirements for a master's degree. I don't think someone with a master's degree is more skilled, but such candidates are really in high demand. I have no idea whether I need to get a master's degree.

In my experience, as a public school teacher, incentives may be offered to encourage employees to pursue a master's degree. Typical incentives are better pay for those with a master's, and help in paying for some of the required courses. However, many teachers pursue a master's degree to specialize in a certain area (for example, speech therapy, literacy, etc.) because the degree will give them different job opportunities.

Wow, teacher is a very respected profession in China. I work in IT industry and am already 40 years old. In China ageism is very serious in IT industry. I have no idea if a master's degree will help me much in the future.

So much is different in China versus the US. I taught English online to Chinese children for four years before the Ministry of Education shut down companies who offered lessons taught by foreigners. This experience gave me valuable insights into the competitive pressures students and professionals face in China. I wish you the very best!

No. A few people continued teaching their students privately, at the parents' request, but most of us thought this was not a good idea.

I know in my field, generally the master's degree is less valuable at the start of your career than the two additional years of experience/head start. There's more focus on master's degrees when hiring for upper management etc., so it's common enough for people to do master's degrees part time later in their career (especially going from a Bsc to a MBA if they're looking to get into executive management)
