You home is Wuhan, why can’t you speak Chinese?

I don't know if you meant to come off this way, but this comment sounds really rude. I'm Chinese-American and I've lived most of my life in America. My Mandarin isn't native level, and that's pretty common for Chinese people who don't live in China

Please refrain these kinds of comments Jack. You need to remember that this is a language learning platform, so all comments and feedback needs to be constructive and helpful.

I just can't express it well in English. You saying this way makes me look like I did it on purpose.

Additionally, I don't know the detailed life situation of Chinese-Americans. And I don't even know the concept of Chinese-American.

I acknowledge your apology, but please stop saying that I cannot speak Mandarin well. I'm fully aware that my vocabulary is limited and that I make a lot of grammar mistakes. Generally, when people are writing/speaking in a foreign language, the last thing they want to hear is how "bad" they sound. (Trust me, some of them already feel really awkward and stressed.)

Please be confident and not to be so sensitive. Be a person who has a strong heart. For me, I never care that people don’t think I have good English because I know myself very well and I try my best all the time.
