For better or worse, I’m an honest person.
(It’s not a rule but many people will put ‘for better or worse’ at the front of the sentence.)

I’m not good at lying. If anything, sometimes I’m too honest.

Bonus: Keep my thoughts to myself <- Be silent.
1. I figured I should keep my thoughts to myself, so I’m quiet now.
2. I figured I needed to stop this, so now I keep my thoughts to myself.
I'm not sure whether it is right or not.
Correct. But, as a listener I want to know a bit more.
For example: ~ is the right decision or not. ~right attitude or not. ~right approach or not.

I think it’s great that you can be honest when speaking to people. Sure there are times when people don’t appreciate honesty so it’s difficult too. I always try to be honest to people I care about. Even if it’s bad. We say ‘sometimes honesty hurts.’ Good sentences!
