I'd say "success" commonly stands for abundant fortune or a higher hierarchy position. While I have not much noble perspective, I understand a poor or homeless guy can not be categorized to be successful . Nevertheless, many regular people might think a happy family is a success. However, I think they coiuld be described as being satisfied with their lives.
