What are the effects of marijuana on the brain?
Marijuana is a drug. Sometimes people tend to trivialize it, but I think that what makes drugs really dangerous is exactly that. When we trivialize something we see ourselves in a position of superiority, where we have total control of the situation. The same happens with alcohol, both of these drugs are highly addictive and dangerous, but they're quite accepted by society.
I have never tried it myself, but two of my closest friends from childhood did consume marijuana heavily. One of them developed schizophrenia and was in a psych ward for some time. My other friend ended up talking and having the reaction time of a zombie. It's very sad to see how with time, the abuse of these substances led to my friends turning into total strangers.
I understand that people want to evade from reality, but I don't share it. If I don't like my reality, I prefer to try to change it myself. Consuming drugs will only delay the problem while making it bigger. It's like not cleaning and hiding everything under the rug, one day it will be unbearable.
The status quo of countries starting to promote or even allow it worries me. We already have a very docile and naïve population, these type of calming drugs will only make people dumber and less aware of their surroundings.

"Avoid" is more natural sounding than "evade".

In English, "sweeping under the rug" or "sweeping [whatever] under the rug" is the way to phrase the idiom.
The status quotrend of countries starting to promote or even allow it worries me.
I'd prefer to use "trend" because I'm assuming you mean it's a noticeable and ongoing pattern.
Basically one country legalizes/decriminalizes marijuana, then another follows, and other, and so forth. It's basically the same way people follow trends online and in life.
We already have a very docile and naïve population, these type of calming drugs will only make people dumber and less aware of their surroundings.

Excellent! Well-written and strong arguments.
I have a pretty nuanced position on this, but I do agree that a sober society is a better one. People drink and take drugs to avoid problems and relieve stress caused by the struggles of life. I've heard plenty of stories of and have seen people who abuse substances acting strange in public and making other people feel uncomfortable.

Marijuana is a drug.

I've made a suggestion, but what you said can be understood as well.

I understand that people want to evade from reality, but I don't share ithat sentiment.
You could also say "escape from reality"
"Evade" is used on its own, while "escape" is followed by "from"

Consuming drugs will only delay the problem while making it bigger.
It's like not cleaning and hidsweeping everything under the rug, instead of cleaning it properly; one day it will be unbearable.
The status quo of countries starting to promote or even allow it worries me.

"these" should be followed by a word in its plural form

I don't know if my suggestion is what you were going for, but "status quo" doesn't really make sense here imo.
