Today, I've learned something new. Sacrifices were not only made with people or animals, but also with tools. An example is "Snake Rock", discovered by archaeologies at Tsodilo Hills in Botswana. As well as perfectly crafted stone tools from around 70,000 years ago, deliberately burnt, smashed or left untouched beside a giant snake-shaped rock. But the question is Why destroy what took so much effort to create? Well, the best fit is that they felt that coming up and doing this act would satisfy some kind of a need. Often you make an offering and hope for something back, and that's some of the earliest behavior that we know so well. They did it thinking about things that we might also request.
