Throw clothes away

I threw some clothes away yesterday after tidying up my wardrobe.

I feel very sorry, and a little sad. Not only because it cost me a lot of money to buy them, but also because I haven't worn them even a few times.

Sometimes, I think I need some diversity in my wardrobe, but actually, I don't need it.

NThis is not only because it cost me a lot of money to buy them, but also because I haven't worn them even a few times.

Your original wording is OK in a casual context, but technically it’s grammatically incorrect—it’s an incomplete sentence. You could fix it by adding a main verb, like I’ve done in my correction, or better yet, you could merge it with the previous sentence:

“I feel very sorry, and a little sad, not just because I spent a lot of money on them, but also because I hardly wore them at all.”

Sometimes, I think I need some diversity in my wardrobe, but actually, I don't need it.

Feedback

Did you literally throw them into the trash, or were you able to donate them to a used clothing recycler? Used clothes are very popular here in the U.S. My youngest daughter and her friends buy almost all their clothes from thrift stores and used clothing boutiques. They prefer old, unique styles. :-)

Thanks again!

I threw them into the trash station directly, but in our neighborhood, the trash station is organized by an old couple. Every time I throw away my clothes, I will sort them and put them in different bags. Then, when I arrive at the station, I inform the old lady which bags are filled with clothing that can be reused.

I guess this is a typical Chinese-style clothing recycling system.

That system sounds efficient.

Sometimes, I think I need some diversity in my wardrobe, but actually, I don't need itit's unnecessary.

I corrected the ending to "it's unnecessary" here just so it's less redundant, but the original sentence is fine.

Great writing!

It can be so hard to resist the urge to buy. But it's better to get rid of them now, then to let them hang around unused.

Thank you so much!

You're definitely right. Just in the past two days, I've ordered stuff online more than five times. We are currently in the midst of the Double 11 shopping festival.

Have a nice day!
