A book made me realize that thinking on my own and having a personal opinion or hypothesis before reading news articles are important. We tend to confuse someone's idea with our own opinions and sometimes believe it as an universal truth. If you have neither hypothesis nor question about the statement, you would never learn anything from news papers or books. Furthermore, people are possible to believe conspiracy theory or biased opinion without reconsidering the issue in detail. Even if the statement comes from successful entrepreneurs or famous celebrities whom you respect for, you shouldn't follow their opinions without any doubt because they might obtain benefits from certain organizations.
However, establishing your own hypothesis is bothersome unless you can afford to research in detail. First of all, it must be difficult for regular people to collect evidences from reliable sources. Even university students, who are easily accessible to the sources like professors or library, resort to Wikipedia when they write reports. I'm also a person who is likely to search on Google if I come across a curious but unfamiliar topic. I guess that people in old times were much clever than us because they managed to find the answer by discussion or research.
If you can afford to verify your hypothesis like school assignments during a summer vacation, you don't need any advices. The most important thing for busy employed people is not whether the hypothesis is true or not, but the thinking process itself. We should make it a habit to think on our own before referring someone's opinion. Even if your hypothesis was wrong, you are able to learn how to establish reasonable statements as well as experts' perspectives.
Thinking on My Own
A book made me realize that thinking on my own and having a personal opinion or hypothesis before reading news articles areis important.
Hypothesis is a bit of an unusual term to use, it's usually reserved for a more formal or scientific type of writing.

If you have neitherdon't have a hypothesis nor any questions about the statements you read, you would never learn anything from news papers or books.
The double use of "neither" and "nor" isn't required, and just making "have" into a negative works fine. A few extra words to make "statement" plural also helps clarity.
Furthermore, people are possibit is possible for people to believe conspiracy theoryies or biased opinions without reconsideranalyzing the issue in detail.
Just a few missed plurals and word order.
Even if the statement comes from successful entrepreneurs or famous celebrities whom you have respect for, you shouldn't follow their opinions without any doubt because they might obtain benefits frombe swayed by certain organizations.
"Swayed" in this sense means "to be influenced by", and is a little more concise than "obtain benefits from".
However, establishing your own hypothesis is bothersomedifficult unless you can afford to research in detail.
"Bothersome" also works fine, but "difficult" is probably more common.

I guess that people in old times were much cleverer than us because they managed to find the answer byto their questions using discussion orand research.
"Clever" is one of those words that even messes up native speakers, and even here I'm not positive I got it right. There's been a years-long argument over if "cleverer" or "more clever" is correct, but every English speaker will understand what you mean if you use either.
If you can afford to verify your hypothesisopinion like school assignments during a summer vacation, you don't need any advices.
I am a little confused at the phrasing here, what exactly are you trying to say? Changing "hypothesis" to "opinion" also sounds more natural.

Very good! Definitely understandable and readable, and a very good point, we all should absolutely make it a point to think on our own. The biggest note would be the repeated use of the word "hypothesis" in place of "opinion" or "idea". I understand what you were trying to convey with it, but it would definitely sound more natural to use other, simpler words. Good work!
