Thinking of my school days

> Is there any method you learned going through school that we would find helpful?

It's hard for me to suggest any such methods.

I found several ideas to improve Japanese through reading books and surfing the Internet, but, honestly, speaking of methods that I got at school about the Japanese language, I don't remember them well, especially it's for improving Japanese.
And I don't feel these are suitable methods for people learning Japanese as a second language because it looks designed for students trying to remember things and teachers judging it through exams.
So it's hard to suggest any such methods.

By the way, thinking of my elementary school days, I remembered competing with a rival about kanji what I've got. That made me motives to seek a lot of kanji through encyclopedias.
That's why I think it's a lucky situation if you had any buddies learning similar stuff and discussing it.

With "kanji what I've got," I wanted to say about the bunch of kanji that I had been able to remember firmly; it's not "I won the competition."
