It was perfect weather for the locals, who were wearing summer clothes, but it was quite windy for us and we were wearing autumn clothes. At Savvy Sessions Photography, the wind kept turning my trench coat upside down. Of course, my hair looked like a mess. The difference between holidaymakers and tourists is that holidaymakers do everything at a relaxed pace, but we tourists—especially those who come from afar—usually look a bit tense because we try hard to visit as many different places as possible.
After lunch, I walked to Albert Park alone. It seems that there are countless places named after Victoria and Albert in Australia. The Albert Park I went to was full of eucalyptus trees, basically the most gorgeous trees I found there. I was so glad that I made myself visit this beautiful and quiet park. The bad luck was that I forgot my umbrella and it rained on my way back. I had to stand under a tree for a while and give up the plan of walking to the stop and taking a tram. So I missed the experience of using public transportation.
When we were on our way back home, I suddenly recalled a song by Chen Huixian (Priscilla Chan). The song is called '人生何处不相逢', which can be simply translated as 'Wherever We Meet'. It has some beautiful lyrics, and two of them are '谁在黄金海岸? 谁在烽烟彼岸?', which could be translated as 'Who's on the Gold Coast? And who's on the other side of the smoke of war?'—a kind of comparison of fate. I used to think that 'the Gold Coast' in this song was just a literary image, and I never imagined it would be an actual place. The guy who helped us a lot during the trip asked me, "Which do you prefer? Brisbane or the Gold Coast?" I think people who live in Brisbane are really lucky, because they live in a great city, and when they want to take a trip, the Gold Coast is right there—a nice choice nearby.
