I often have spent my weekends on taking photos for a couple of years. A drawback of this hobby is being prone to waste a lot of money on cameras and lens.
Old lens are attractive items for me because of their own history and their way to see the scenery. For example, some of them were made in Eastern Germany or Soviet Union soon after WWⅡ. Knowing the histories make me feel excited because I was born after the collapse of Soviet Union. In addition, you can find the elaborate mechanism and characteristic images taken by the old lens, which modern lens never have.

I assume you mean the histories of the lenses, which means you need to say "their histories." If you wanted to talk about the history of the Soviet Union and these cameras in general, you would say "Knowing this history."

Very cool! I love old cameras, I also collect them as a hobby. Do you live in Japan? I know Japan has an incredible market for film cameras. Good job!
