"chat box" sounds a little odd. I know what you mean, but would probably say "your chat messages"

I'm not sure if you are saying either 1. I will wait for her to read my letter , or 2. I will wait for her to tell me about how this letter makes her feel. I assumed the first one for my suggestion. You can still say "read this gloom" to make it sound a bit more artsy, but it sounds a little bit strange.
