My Superior’s Long Weekend (Jealous!)

Vivian will be on vacation from Friday to Monday.
I really admire my superior because she always seems to have more time off than we do.
She works in Australia now, while we, the Chinese team, are still working in China.
There are so many public holidays in Australia!
The next three days are all public holidays in NSW — how amazing is that?

Sometimes I wonder: when will I ever have so many vacations?
Maybe… never! 😅

Thank your correction!

Feedback

Excellent response, everything is technically correct. However, if you want to go for a more natural or native sounding English, instead of using "my superior" use manager, supervisor, or boss.

Superior is overly formal, and somewhat outdated. Many native English speakers might feel as though you were being condescending, or speaking down to them, if you were to introduce yourself as their superior, instead of their manager or supervisor.

Thank you so much for your explanation! I didn't know "superior" could sound that way. I'll use "manager" or "boss" next time.
