During my study abroad, I researched about Australia's election and how many young people have interested in political. In Japan, most of young people don't have interest about political. Also, they don't go to vote, so young Japanese vote rate is very low. But in Australia, voting is mandatory. So, Australia's voting rate is very high. There are more option than Japan to vote. For example, Mobile Voting and Telephone Voting. If Austrailan people don't vote, they have to pay a fire. On 26th October, an election was held in Queensland. I asked some people if they went to vote, they all answered they did. From my reserch, even Australians young people don't have intrest about political, they vote as a duty.
