Tomorrow morning, a marathon event will be held in my city. This event has been held in my city for three years (including this one).
This marathon consists of four parts: five - kilometer happy running, ten - kilometer elite running, half marathon, and full marathon.
The five - kilometer happy running is extremely popular. When the registration opens, all the spots are filled within just two minutes. The participation limit for the happy running is set at only five thousand people.
In the happy running group, most participants are families—parents accompanied by their children. When the children are too young to run on their own, parents often place them in baby carriages and pull them along.
The participants in the marathon come from diverse backgrounds. There are men and women, young and old, as well as some disabled individuals. In the first marathon, I witnessed a young disabled man in a wheelchair exerting great effort to move forward by rotating the wheels.
In last year's marathon, Li Meizhen, a member of the Chinese national marathon team, participated in the ten - kilometer elite race and won the championship. She is not only a remarkable athlete but also quite charming.
One of my classmates from specialized technical secondary school, Zhao Wenjing, who is in his sixties, has taken part in numerous marathon events across various cities in China. Despite his short and thin stature, which is considered an ideal build for marathon running, he always participates in marathons with his wife. For him, these marathon trips serve as a form of travel.
I am planning to watch the marathon tomorrow morning. I enjoy the sight of runners filling the streets and the sound of the audience's enthusiastic cheers. It's truly an exhilarating experience, and I'll be there with my wife.

"witnessed" is usually used when you see someone do something bad to someone else, or yourself.
In last year's marathon, Li Meizhen, a member of the Chinese national marathon team, participated in the ten -10 kilometere elite race and won the championship.
One of my classmates from the specializsed technical secondary school I attended, Zhao Wenjing, who is in his sixties, has taken part in numerous marathon events across various cities in China.
Despite his short and thin stature, which is considered an ideal build for marathon running, he always participates in marathons with his wife meaning he doesn't run as fast as he can.
"Despite" usually links a negative with a consequence. For example: "Despite my broken leg, I walked to the store," or "Despite the formal dress code, I wore my PJ's." So when you say "Despite his short and thin stature" the link would have to link to it and "he always participates in marathons with his wife," is 100% grammatically correct but it's hard for the reader to see the link.
For him, these marathon tripevents serve as a form of travelleisure.
I am planning to watch the marathon tomorrow morning.
Feedback
Basically 100% correct and I love your style. It is quite poetic and used great vocabulary. The corrections are what I would write to keep it more casual and to have a better flow.
