La Mejor Película
He escrito sobre una serie que empecé a ver para mejorar mis habilidades de escucha, pero no sobre una de mis películas favoritas. No miro muchas películas, y no me gusta ir al cine, pero hay una película que vi hace un rato llamada "Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai." Pienso que se rodó in 1999, pero nunca será demasiado vieja. La película se trata de un hombre (Forest Whitaker) en Nueva York quien se considera un samurái moderno. Su patrón estaba en una mafia que estaba perdiendo su poder, pero Ghost Dog nunca abandonó su puesto o sus principios. Hay algo especial en como el director dirigió la película. El diálogo es interesante, los personajes son dinámicos, y la trama es inolvidable. El director, Jim Jarmusch, crea películas diferente de otras películas. Dirigió dos más películas que me encantan: Paterson, sobre la vida poética de un conductor de autobús, y Dead Man, una alegoría sobre el purgatorio que un hombre se experimenta con el apoyo de un guía nativo americano.

I would really try to see when you use “sentir”, and when you use “creer” since they’re verbs you hear often. Also, remember that not every verb needs a reflexive verb accompanying it. It’s mostly when in English you’re using the pronoun it since that doesn’t have a direct translation. Ex. I’m feeling it - Lo estoy sintiendo

First of all, you're right that you mentioned a similar error with pensar before. I plan to look up more information on creer, sentir, and pensar. I wonder if it will be helpful to be more careful in English to distinguish between what I think, what I believe, and what I feel. In English, I basically say "think" all of the time, but I think this is just out of habit.
Don't use mirar or rodar--got it, that makes things simpler!
I intended to say that I don't watch many movies and I don't like going to theaters--would it be normal to just say instead, "No veo muchas películas y no me gusta ir al cine, pero..."? I thought porque signifies an explanation/cause.
Ah, with "patrón," I wasn't sure what to do, but I wanted to approximate "boss" without the connotation of "employer who pays an employee". "Master" is basically what I was thinking, but then I wasn't sure if "maestro" would be taken to mean "teacher." The original term was "retainer", which is probably itself a bad translation of an original Japanese term. But now I'm realizing that I made a factual error; "retainer" isn't used in the way I originally thought. I think I need to start using the native language entry box to help with things like this when I form a response.
I also notice that I have some consistent issues with redundancy.
A question--is "hace mucho" abbreviated from "hace mucho tiempo"?

I think that you would use “sentir” instead of think. For example, “Siento que come mucho” - “I feel like he eats a lot” in there you’re using it since y that’s your opinion. Then, “creer” would be used when you’re not sure about something “Creo que se va mañana” - “I think she leaves tomorrow”
For “mirar”, I forgot to mention that you would only use it if you wanted someone to see something and were pointing at it. It’s like saying Look! in English.
Then, I used “porque” since not going to the movies can be the cause of you not watching many movies but I guess that you could keep the y if you really wanted to.
Yes, hace mucho is an abbreviated version of hace mucho tiempo.
“Hace mucho que no voy en bicicleta” - “It’s been a while since I’ve ridden a bike”

Thanks--I've stumbled on an important difference between Spanish and English here with "pensar."
When I was thinking about your correction, I thought how I do hear people still say "mira," but how other forms of ver seemed more common. That said, Duolingo gave me a sentence earlier that said something about "estás mirando la tele" pero creo que "viendo" would be the more natural way, if I'm understanding you here.

Another think that I realized is that you would only use pensar instead of creer when you’re talking about the past.
