God Has Already Covered the Cost

When Donald Trump took office, he used two Bibles.
One was the Bible of President Abraham Lincoln, and the other was a gift from Trump's mother to him when he was a kid.
Two hundred and fifty years after 1776, even though the United States became the most powerful country in the world, it became extremely corrupt.
However, God did not give up the United States.
No matter which language or version of the Bible they read, when God's Word enters their hearts, God turns their lives around.
Did you read your Bible today?
I usually read the Gospel of Matthew.
I have never bought a Bible either Chinese or English version.
Because the Bibles were all given by the church, and God has already covered the cost.

Became --> used to be, isn't anymore. Has become --> still is. I am not sure 100% sure which one you mean here, so I just wanted to give you some options. Apologies if I am just getting a bit confused here.

However, God did not abandon the United States.

"Their" is a bit vague - maybe specify who you mean for the first "they", then keep "their" as it it. I assume you want to say either "Americans" or "people" (in general)?

Because the Bibles were all given by the church, and God has already covered the cost.

Because themy Bibles were all given to me by the church, and God has already covered the cost. Because my Bibles were all given to me by the church, and God has already covered the cost.

I think it's better to be specific that you're talking about your own experiences here. Otherwise, if you want to speak generally, you could say: "Because Bibles ARE all given freely by the church, and God coverS the cost." (Thus putting it in the present tense).

One was the Bible of President Abraham Lincoln, and the other was a gift from Trump's mother to him when he was a kid.

However, God did not give up the United States.

However, God did not give up the United States. However, God did not give up the United States.

"Did not" implies something that it has finished, ie. for an action that has been completed in the past. Maybe "has not" would work better here?
