Both in English and Korean, there are a lot of expressions that can’t be explained with simple grammar. I guess it’s mostly the idiomatic expressions that make it so difficult to write in other language.

Same for reading a foreign language. Despite the fact I lived in the US for 7 years, I feel very lost when I encounter dense or heavy texts. I think authors tend to tweak words and grammar purposely to create their unique writing style / voice.

I think the best way to learn foreign language is to dig in to a meaning of a sentence that I don’t understand fully.

Or 'another language'.

Same forIt's the same when reading a foreign language.

You always need a subject in written English, even if you use a pronoun.
