A few days later, wheat in our area will be harvested. In our region, the wheat harvesting season is usually at the end of May and the beginning of June and it will last five to seven days in total nowadays. Now people harvest wheat basically by using a combined harvest machine and that is very fast and convenient because as long as the machine enters the wheat farm, you can get wheat directly, then just dry it, and there are dry machines already currently. But in the old days, harvesting wheat was really tough work. As far as I remember, before the harvesting season came, people would prepare preliminary work. For example, they made thresh floors, bought tools, and so on. When they started harvesting, they used sickles, then put the wheat in a rickshaw and got it to the threshing floor. After drying them, people would use one or two cows pulling a stone roll to roll over the wheat. Then pick out the straw and collect the wheat when it is dry. Because of the weather, sometimes the entire harvesting season will last one month or so and that is really annoying. I remember one year, it rained heavily during the harvest season and it seemed only over one night that all the wheat had sprouted.
