Now, I'd like to introduce you to apartments in detail in China. For me, the last apartment I bought is about 120 square meters and it is on the 11 th floor (the building has 26 floors and each floor has two units six apartments in total). It has three bedrooms, a dining room, a living room, one kitchen and two bathrooms. The price of this apartment is about 12 thousand RMB per square meter. The majority of Chinese apartments are roughcast apartments and you need to lay on your own floor, paint the walls, add all kinds of electrical appliances, etc. There are also decorated houses for sale, but people prefer buying not decorated houses because they consider that the decorated houses are overpriced and the decoration of the houses may not be what they want. Every apartment certainly has a balcony and this is necessary stuff, not worth surprising. So far I don't know how to name it. Is it actually a house or an apartment? I believe you are able to give me the right answer because you are a native English speaker. Thank you very much.

The price of this apartment is about 12 thousand,000 RMB per square meter.
The number should either be "twelve thousand" or "12,000". I've only ever heard the Chinese currency be referred to as yuan. I don't know if RMB has a different connotation, but most English speakers won't know what it means.

If you're renting your place and it's part of a larger structure then it's an apartment. If it's a stand-alone building then it's a house. Balconies definitely aren't considered essential for apartments in the US. I didn't have one anywhere that I've rented. But I suppose Chinese people probably use them to dry laundry.
