No worries, as I said before, language learning is just our hobby. It shouldn't affect our work and life, and it shouldn't bring us pressure. So you can reply to me just when you are free.
Last time I checked the word thunderstorm and found it meant 雷暴雨 in Chinese. It usually happens in the summer here. I remember when I was a child, when thunderstorms happened at night. Our parents always asked us to blow off all the oil lights because they said that monsters would run into our house in the lightning thunderstorm at night.
The same as what happened in your place, thunderstorms always bring disasters here, such as destroying crops, trees, electricity facilities, houses and so on. Every time thunderstorms come, our government will carry out some activities to reduce the damage caused by thunderstorms.
It's really hard to live without electricity nowadays. It seems everything can't work without electricity. I remember that we never knew what to do in our office if the electricity was off. I can't imagine how you spend your day on those days without electricity.
This picture is really amazing: a forest wildfire mixed with a strip of Northern lights. It's like a dream you never see in reality, so the photo is very precious.
Natural disasters are everywhere every time, we humans seem to not have the ability to master them well no matter how we do our best.
In front of nature, human beings are just like dust. We should respect and protect nature because it's our mother.

No worries, as I said before, language learning is just our/a hobby.

It shouldn't affect our work and life, and it shouldn't bring us pressure.

So you can just reply to me just whenwhen/whenever you are free.

It usually happens in the summer here.

I remember when I was a child, when thunderstorms happened at night.

Our parents always asked us to blow offut all the oil lights because they said that monsters would run into our house in the lightnduring thundere storms at night.

"blow off" is an expression meaning to reject someone's invitation.

Example: I asked her out on a date but she blew me off = I asked her out on a date but she rejected me.

The same as what happened inat your place, thunderstorms always bring disasters here, such as destroying crops, trees, electricity facilities, houses and so on.

Every time thunderstorms comeoccur, our government will carry out some activities to reduce the damage caused by thunderstormsem.

The better word to use is "occur" instead of "come" because it is not like thunderstorms decide to come--they simply happen.

These explanations are oversimplified but:

"Occur" is used for events that happen naturally or in nature.
"Come" is a verb that is typically used to describe subjects that have free will and have thoughts and feelings.

It's really hard to live without electricity nowadays.

It seems everything can't work without electricity.

I remember that we never knewowing what to do in our office ifwhen the electricity was offut.

I can't imagine how you spend your day on those days without electricity.

This picture is really amazing: a forest wildfire mixed with a strip of Northern lights.

It's like a dream you never see in reality/real life, so the photo is very precious.

"Real life" is more natural to say.

Natural disasters are everywhere every time,. Yet we humans do not seem to not have the ability to master them wellhandle them no matter how we do our besthard we try.

In front ofAgainst nature, human beings are just like dust.

We should respect and protect mother nature because it' is our motherhome.
