I’m watching this show on Netflix: Love Island. It’s kind of hilarious, but it’s addictive at the same time. I’m usually never into such reality shows. I usually watch movies or documentaries. But I got interested in this show because Netflix was showing me a clip (?) of it in their advertisement, and some of the contestants looked very pretty/ handsome and caught my eye.^^; And I liked how the whole thing was taking place in Fiji, one of the places I’ve really wanted to travel to.

Anyways, on Love Island, several contestants - males and females - try to find their best partner, while the number of the contestants are periodically changing (like once every four days) such that there is always an odd one out (the one who can’t get coupled with anyone.).

For example, there are initially 5 girls and 5 boys in the island, who all pair up well. But then another girl enters the scene, steering up the atmosphere. This girl chooses one of the boys she likes best and if that boy agrees, they become a new couple. One person who is then left without a partner are kicked out of the island.
After a while, another boy joins the island, and such re-coupling continues.

The producers probably did this on purpose to create this conflict that is enjoyable to watch (only) to the viewers. To me, it was funny, but annoying at the same time though. I guess I put myself in the shoes of the girls whose boys betrayed them and went for new girls.^^;;;;

Anyways, I couldn’t believe how I put off my work and watched the shows for hours. Haha.

A couple who gets the most vote by the public(?) wins $100k after a month in the Island. Zac and Elizabeth won the vote in the first season. They stayed loyal to each other and definitely were the best looking ones, I think.

But they broke up a few months after the show. It was a shock because they really seemed to care for each other. I guess the island and the reality outside were different...

Anyway, I’m glad I found another mind-grabbing show on Netflix, although they are making me procrastinate.
