Waking up Early

It is 3:30 in the morning, and I feel I can’t get back to sleep.
I went to the toilet, boiled some water, and then felt like writing something in English.

Maybe it’s due to age—I’ve often woken up early in recent years and haven’t been able to fall asleep again. What’s more, I can’t sleep soundly.

When I was younger, I always felt like I lacked sleep. I could fall asleep quickly and sleep soundly.
If I didn’t sleep well at night, I would feel sleepy in the morning and probably doze off for a bit at the office.

Now, I want to stop writing and try to fall asleep again because I don’t want to feel sleepy in the morning.

In English, we call the room that has a sink and toilet in it the "bathroom", even if there's no bath in it. Or "restroom", if you want to be extra polite. It's not common for a native English speaker to say that they went to the "toilet". In the United States at least, you'll almost always hear "bathroom".
