I learned English from Disney Channel

Let me tell you about the summer in which I learned English. But first, let's flash back a few years.

For me English was just another subject at school, my grades were good enough to pass, and I didn't really mind it. But one year I said to myself I wanted, but REALLY wanted to learn English and I didn't really know how, because it was summer. So In the mean time I started watching Disney Channel in English, Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, the Wizards of Waverly Place, and so on (those three shows define who I am as a person today, tbh). I forgot to say I watched them with subtitles. And after that summer, armed with the basic knowlodge I gathered through the years in school, things began to click and to make sense. And after that, I started getting good grades and enjoying the language.

Do you have an interesting story learning another language?

Let me tell you about the summer in which I learned English.

But first, let's flash back a few years.

For me English was just another subject at school, my grades were good enough to pass, andso I didn't really mind it.care to improve.

The phrase "mind it" to me implies there was some problem or nuisance. I think this retains the meaning of "It wasn't an issue, I just didn't care." Also changed "and" to "so" to create a purpose clause. Both are suggestions, but yours is also correct. :)

But one year I said to myself I wanted, butand REALLY wanted, to learn English and, but I didn't really know how, because it was summer.

Added necessary commas.
but -> and - for clarity
and -> but - for clarity.

So Iin the mean time, I started watching Disney Channel in English,: Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, the Wizards of Waverly Place, and so on (those three shows define who I am as a person today, tbh).

Added comma between "exposition clause" and added a colon. The colon is not strictly necessary, but it common in front of a list.

I forgot to say I watched them with subtitles.

And after that summer, armed with the basic knowlodge I gathered through the years in school, things began to click and to make sense.

And after that, I started getting good grades and enjoying the language.

Just needed a preposition :)
