I bought a 5-year-diary and it's been 2 months.
So why can’t I keep journaling in English online, too? That thought suddenly came to me today, and it brought me to start this account.
Well, I bought a 5-years diary in late March, then I have kept working on it. About 3 to 5 lines of short journals in Japanese, almost every day, about 80 percent consistency. Amazing.
I bought it because I liked its small size and ambiguous smoke-blue colour. Actually It was very small for a 5-year diary, and didn’t look overwhelming. You know some journals are too majestic and make you feel timid.
I didn’t believe that I could keep journaling, but now, to my surprise, I found that I could, for the first time in my life. I am over 40 years old by the way.
So I decided to write in English, which I had tried several times and gave up as many times as that.
Here, I declare;
I will never compromise by writing what I can write, instead of what I REALLY want to write.
That's because it's only effective in writing English tests such as ielts and Eiken Test, but it doesn't really help improve my English skills.

I used to use Hobonichi! It was great, I liked the texture of its paper. But the space for each day was too much (for me) to fill and it looked very scarce... I envy you if you make the full use of it!

Yes, it's a lot of space! I can't always fill the page every day. Sometimes I just fill pages with stickers or washi tape to make them cute!

Saying ’too’ works and sounds fine, but I think it’s nice to offer alternatives, saying ‘as well’ is commonly used in English and is another way to add the same meaning, but in a different way to your sentence.

Saying ‘then I have kept working on it’, sounds unnatural here, it sounds more natural to use ‘and’ instead.
