How tidy your room?

My room is relatively tidy, but totally my house is messy a little. Although I've been trying to not buy unnecessary things, I have really no idea why there are a lot of things in my house. Please tell me your tips and tricks to tidy up your room and keep it.

Good job!
I keep my room clean just by having a place for everything. If you let things like clothes or trash pile up, it can get messy fast.

Thank you very much for your careful corrections.
When I'm thinking about sentences, I tend to use certain words, which makes them monotonous.
I thought simpler was better, but perhaps it would be better to try out different ways of expression for the sake of my studies.

One of my favorite things about english is how many different ways there are to say something. Once you get comfortable, sentences become very flexible. Keep up the good work!

Although I've been trying to not to buy unnecessary things, I have really no idea why there are a lot of things in my house.

Another more natural flow is: "I really have no idea why there are so many things in my house even though I've been trying not to buy unnecessary things."

Great job.

A good tip is, "don't put it down, put it away." For example, when you are tempted to put something on the nearest table temporarily, instead force yourself to put the item where it belongs as this is generally only going to take a few more seconds.
