How Can I Make the Ab Roller Part of My Routine? AR

"The workout I try to do every day is using an ab roller. An ab roller is a simple piece of equipment you can buy online, for about 1,500 yen. It has a wheel with an axle running through it. You grip the handles on the axle and roll it on the floor while keeping your body straight. One set is about 10 to 15 reps, so it only takes one or two minutes. Still, I find it hard to do it every day.

One reason is that using the ab roller keeps both of my hands occupied. I usually prefer exercises I can do while multitasking. For example, I listen to music while stepping on a stepper machine, or I play games while riding an exercise bike. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to do anything else while working out with the ab roller.

Even so, I want to find a way to make it a daily habit, since I bought it and actually like the exercise."

I took a little bit of a guess here, so if I am mistaken, ignore this comment because grammatically the sentence is fine. But saying "actually like the exercise" is a little confusing, at least to me. Because if you liked doing the ab roller exercise specifically, the listener/reader wouldn't think it would be a struggle to do. We don't tend to say we like something and then say we won't do it unless we can do something else at the same time. That sounds more like you'd rather be doing something else. So I thought maybe in this case you are trying to say you like "getting" the exercise, but this specific one is hard to stick with because it takes all your attention. This is kinda tricky to explain and runs the risk of being a complete misread on my part, but it's the only thing that really stuck out.

When I do exercises that tie up my hands, I tend to work on listening practice. But that may be because all I do right now is study Japanese lol.

Thank you for trying to understand what I meant. What I wanted to convey is that, among all the dreary workouts, the ab roller is better than most—I don’t actually hate it, but it’s still hard to make it a regular habit. I now realize I should have said that I’m the type of person who dislikes most workouts, like dumbbells.
