my daughter's birthday

Yesterday was my daughter’s fifth birthday. I held a birthday party for her at Pizza Hut, which serves pizza and other simple food. She invited some of her friends, including one child from our neighborhood and a few of her classmates.

To be honest, I felt quite exhausted because some of the parents didn’t come, so I had to take care of three children by myself. Luckily, her grandfather and my ex-wife helped me manage the situation.

To make the children happy, I ordered some kids’ meal sets that came with toys related to Zootopia, which is very popular in her kindergarten, so all the kids loved them. What made them especially excited was that the Zootopia-themed toys were very interesting, including bubble machines and remote-control cars.

After getting the toys, the children became extremely excited. They were screaming, running around, and even playing on the floor. Although there were some customers nearby, they still kept making noise. Since Pizza Hut provides this kind of birthday party service, the staff were probably used to this kind of noise, but I still felt a little embarrassed.

After that, I took them home, where they played some games. Then we lit the candles, sang “Happy Birthday,” and ate the cake. By the time everything finished, it was almost 8:30 p.m., so I sent them home.

Overall, it was very tiring, but the children seemed very happy, so I think it was worth it.
