Have You Told Any Lies Today?

I haven't told any lies today. But I often tell white lies in unawareness, so probably I have today. Can you be the honest people?

Since retiring, my social circle has shrunk. Often I only speak to my wife, and go weeks without speaking anyone else. I can be honest with her, but leave many things unsaid.

Have You Told Any Lies Today?

I haven't told any lies today.

But I often tell white lies in unawarenesswithout realising, so I probably I have done today.

"in unawareness" doesn't work here. There's a few ways you could say it. Either "I often tell white lies without realising", "I often tell white lies without awareness", "I often tell white lies unawares". The last one, "unawares" is quite old-fashioned.

Can you be the honest people?

If you're posing a question to the reader, it might be better to say something like "Do you think you can be honest?"

Note that "realising" is British spelling. The American equivalent is "realizing"

I haven't told any lies today.

But I often tell white lies in unawarenesswithout realizing it, so I probably I have today.

Or you could say, "without doing it on purpose"

Can you be the honest people?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this phrase, so I don't know how to correct it. Maybe "Can people be truly honest"?

Feedback

You make good points. I guess everyone tells white lies most days.
