Bangkok in June is hot and dry. But that Friday evening at the bus tour station, I did not noticed how air was baking me alive. I sat on floor and waited for bus, too tired to find an empty seat. Since tomorrow would be the start of weekish-long national holiday, parking lots are busy with bus come and go every 15 minutes. Many people came here to their hometown, eagared to celerabate these long-anticipated holidays. Unlike me, who lost track of time and only noticed this important festival from workplace's groupchat. Luckily, my self-torture interrepted with the brightness from my bus' headlight. I headed to the bus and shoved all of my belonging to storage at the bottom. Then, I went to my window seat and slept without a single thought.
I suddenly woke up in the middle of night. The whole lobby would be pitch black If not because the street lamps are on. I saw the crowded yet silent bus driving through road. I tried to go back to sleep as I don't want my relatives saw me in corpse state. However, my brain seemed like don't understand my intention. With a few struggles, I gave up and looked at the window to kill some time. I noticed the lack of star in the sky. My first thought is "Is my eyesight that bad? I already wear the glasses! Shouldn't those help me see clearer?!". But I pondered for a while, I concluded that it must be the street lights that dim the sky. I have a similar situation when I was little. The difference is I could see star beautifully hanging on the sky. I complained in my head about the lost beauty from countryside louder with every light poles bus pass by. Unexpectedly a single thought snapped in my mind: "Aren't these light poles good for drivers?". In the end, I accept that these roads weren't for me alone and I should sleep 'cause it'd been half hour since I woke up.
