El Día Aburrido
El tiempo afuera estaba lluvioso así que el hombre estaba sentado en su sofá bajo una manta con su perro. Su gato estaba en la piso al lado de la sofá. Ambos animales estaban durmiendo suavemente y el hombre estaba leyendo un libro acerca de la historia de Roma. Todos no tienen un cuidado en el mundo. Fue una gran tarde.
The weather outside was rainy so the man was sitting on his sofa under a blanket with his dog. His cat was on the floor next to the sofa. Both animals were sleeping softly and the man was reading a book about the history of Rome. None of them had a care in the world. It was a great afternoon.

If you're studying the Spaniard version of the language, it's fine, but in México instead of sofá you'd say sillón and instead of manta you'd say cobija.
Su gato estaba en la piso al lado de lal sofá.
sofá is masculine
Ambos animales estaban durmiendo suavemente y el hombre estaba leyendomientras que el hombre leía un libro acerca de la historia de Roma.
You're overusing the formula of estar + verbo + gerundio, that's why I changed the tense of estaba leyendo. I've never heard of the expression sleeping softly in neither Spanish or English, maybe you could use calmados. Also, mientras (while) is more appropriate than a simple y.
Todos no tienen ni un cuidado en el mundo.
When saying no tienen you'll always add a "ni" after. Also, I get that you're trying to say that they don't have a care in the world, but idioms like that don't translate into other languages.
