Kindle's version update

Kindle is supposed to get a new 3.0 update later this month. Nobody really knows the details yet, but it looks like Amazon is trying to pull the app deeper into their ecosystem—tracking things like what you buy, what you read, and how you use Scribe. Apparently, they want people to stay inside Amazon’s world as much as possible.
But I just use Kindle to read books, so none of this really will help me.
