Although it is a black subject, itthe subject is heavy, the movie still seemsed too melodramatic, talking only about for me, focusing too much on the inability of the man in charge to reunite with his family in prison, without mentioning a word about the harm he did to others back thentouching on the harm he inflicted on others previously.

Not sure if this is what you mean by black subject because that could have several meanings, such as the black and white video format or the black man as the main lead.

Alternative: "I am happy for Trent Reznor that he won". Just depends if you want to emphasise that you're happy for him specifically, or just generally glad that he won.

It means you changed how you think about a topic, rather than a preference for one thing over another.
