Hello, I’m Mika, and I used to be a member of Lang-8.

Now I’m 44 years old. I have a husband and a 10-year-old son, and I work for a local government office.

I was in the English course when I was a high school student, but I wasn’t a very good student. At that time, I wasn’t interested in studying English because I didn’t have any opportunities to use it in real life.

After graduating, I joined Lang-8 when I was 28 years old. I started by writing simple diary entries, and soon I received corrections and encouraging comments from native speakers.

It was a life-changing experience for me.

After that, I began studying English much harder than I had in high school. Lang-8 brought me many good friends, and even now, we still keep in touch.

Lang-8 brought many exciting and valuable experiences into my life. I truly loved the service, so I was very sad when it ended in 2024.

Today, I joined LangCorrect, and I’d like to start studying English again.

I hope this new journey will bring more wonderful experiences into my life.

私は以前、Lang-8のメンバーでした。

私は現在44歳で、夫と10歳の息子がいます。地方自治体で働いています。

高校では英語コースに所属していましたが、あまり成績の良い生徒ではありませんでした。
当時は実際に英語を使う機会がなかったので、英語を勉強することにあまり興味がありませんでした。

高校卒業後、28歳のときにLang-8に登録しました。最初は簡単な日記を書いていましたが、すぐにネイティブの方々から添削や励ましのコメントをもらえるようになりました。

それは私の人生を変えるような出来事でした。

それ以来、高校生の頃よりもずっと熱心に英語を勉強するようになりました。Lang-8のおかげで数人の良い友人ができ、今でもその人たちとは連絡を取り合っています。

Lang-8は、私の人生にたくさんの、わくわくするような貴重な経験をもたらしてくれました。私は本当にこのサービスが大好きだったので、2024年に終了してしまったときはとても寂しかったです。

今日、私はLangCorrectに登録しました。そして、もう一度英語の勉強を始めたいと思っています。

この新しい挑戦が、また私の人生に素晴らしい経験をもたらしてくれることを願っています。
