Confession of a language teacher

I've been teaching Italian online for two years now. As far as I'm concerned, I think there are two sides of the same coin: one side is that teaching is fun and rewarding; in my case, I met a lot of people from different places around the world, and some of them, I am happy to say, have become like friends. I learned a lot of things about various cultures and lifestyles. On the other side, teaching requires effort and organization; sometimes you have to cope with rude, disrespectful, or too-shy people who paid you to have a conversation with them. You should understand their needs and sometimes anticipate them; be patient and respect their time and fears. As a whole, I haven't regretted starting to do this job, but at the same time I don't see myself doing it for the rest of my life.

As far as I'm concerned, I think there are two sides of the same coin: o. One side is that teaching is fun and rewarding;represents the fun and rewarding part of teaching.

I think you should split this whole thought into separate sentences for clarity and flow.

iIn my case, I met a lot of people from different places around the world, and some of them, I am happy to say,. I am happy to say that some of them have become likemy friends.

I learned a lot of things about various cultures and lifestyles.

On the other sidehand, teaching requires effort and organization;.

As far as I'm concerned, I think there are two sides of the same coin: one side is that teachto teaching, the first being isthe fun and rewarding part of it;

We usually wouldn't use the phrase "I think there are two sides of the same coin" in this situation, as the emphasis of the phrase "two sides of the same coin" puts two things that are quite different next to each other to demonstrate their connection. It is not used to describe two aspects of the same thing, rather, to say two things are part of a cycle (e.g., life and death are two sides of the same coin), or are interconnected.

You can remove "I think" after the comma, because it's already implied in "As far as I'm concerned".

in my case, I met a lot of people from different places around the world, and some of them, I am happy to say, have become like friends to me.

Adding "to me" to the end sounds a bit more natural.

I learned a lot of things about various cultures and lifestyles.

On the other side, teaching requires (a lot of) effort and organization;

Many things require effort and organization, and adding a descriptor like "a lot of" emphasizes that it's not just a bit of effort and organization that's required.

sometimes you have to cope with rude, disrespectful, or too-shy peoplepeople who are very shy, but who paid you to have a conversation with them.

The phrase "too-shy people" isn't often used. Could use the descriptor "extra-shy".

You should understand their needs and sometimes anticipate them; be patient and respect their time and fears.

As a whole, while I haven't regretted starting to do this job, but at the same time I don't see myself doing it for the rest of my life.

Alternatively: "As a whole, I haven't regretted starting this job, but I don't see myself doing it for the rest of my life."
"at the same time" can be removed.
