Back to work (Real!)

Well, it's the same title as yesterday, but this time I actually mean it! haha
This morning was dangerous; I almost slept in. Thanks to my cute kitty, she woke me up, and I wasn't late to work. (She wants to make me pet her every morning.)

Same old, same old. The morning meeting began. We had some new co-ops, so I introduced myself and welcomed them.
It was really hard to focus today. Some part of my brain was still on holiday....I made some prop items and headed home.

Oh! I had one fun moment this afternoon. My colleagues and I went to Starbucks, where I studied for the last 2 weeks. (The place is just around the corner from our office.) When I picked my coffee up, crews called my name and greeted me. After that, they said that they wondered why I didn't visit the place this morning. I explained that my regular workday began today, so I couldn't visit this morning. I was a little embarrassed, but also very thankful to them. They are the best.
My colleagues who came together wondered that, and I talked about what I did over the holiday. They laughed and nodded.

When I picked my coffee up, crewthe employees called my name and greeted me.

You could say "the crew members" but honestly when I hear "crew members" I think of construction workers or ship crewmen lol

I explained that my regular workday began schedule started back up today, so I couldn't visit this morning.

I used "started back up" instead of "resumed" because it has a more suitably casual feel.
This clarifies that you're coming back to work, whereas "my regular workday began today" is a little off, and it sounds like today is the first time you are working regular hours ever.

Alternatively, but rewording more: "I explained that today was my first day back at work, so I couldn't visit this morning."

They are the best.

They laughed and nodded.

Feedback

Otherwise I agree with Liag's corrections. Great job! Good flow and natural sounding speech overall.

Thanks gaezer!! I know the word 'Crew' feels like a ship worker, but somehow I feel it relates to a group of workers who work closely together.

There is a use of the word that's basically like "the bros" or "the homies," but it doesn't have explicitly imply working together, just of having close bonds with each other. "Me and the crew went to see the new movie." (Me and my friends went to see the new movie.) It's kinda old-school, but now that I think about it, you could say "When I picked my coffee up, the usual crew called~" and it sounds okay. But when I first read the sentence, I got confused for a second because I was like "wait, why is a construction crew talking to you when you pick up your coffee?"

Languages are super complex!

Thanks to my cute kitty, shewho woke me up, and I wasn't late to work.

I think you could omit the comma before "who" but I know it is correct with it there.

(She wants to make meme to pet her every morning.)

Some part of my brain was still on holiday....I made some prop items and headed home.

I'm not sure I understand "prop items." I think of props, or things that you hold up or use when you are giving a talk, or that actors use when they are onstage. If that isn't what you mean, you could add a few more words to describe what you made or what they are for.

My colleagues and I went to Starbucks, where I studied for the last 2two weeks.

The convention is to use words for numbers less than 10.

When I picked my coffee up, crew members called my name and greeted me.

"crews" would be everyone working. For example, "the Monday morning crew."

After that, they said that they wondered why I dihadn't visited the place this morning.

Your sentence is correct grammatically.
"didn't visit" would be good for a one time event; but since you have been visiting regularly, and this morning was an exception, "hadn't visited" is more accurate (my opinion).

I was a little embarrassed, but also very thankful to them for being so friendly.

"thankful to them" sounds a little incomplete to me. That is why I suggest adding why.
"Thankful to them for their greeting / for remembering me" would also work. Another option might be to cut the sentence off sooner:
"I was a little embarrassed, but also very thankful."

The comma is optional. It provides a nice pause for the speaker but isn't required grammatically.

My colleagues who came togetherwere with me wondered about that, and I talked about what I did over the holiday.

"who came with me" would work, but it would make it sound more like you were the leader of the group or you invited them.
If you all agreed to go out together, then "were with me" reflects that.

Thanks, Liag! I am very glad you mentioned my sprint is working. The "Prop" is an in-game item because we make a video game!

WoW. I did not expect that. Maybe you will write about the prop items and video game in a post some day.
