Agricultural Radio and Television School

Agricultural radio and television schools are public institutions under the agricultural departments of governments at various levels.

The Central Agricultural Radio and Television School is subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. It holds the highest administrative level among all such schools in China and provides guidance to provincial schools.

Each provincial, municipal, or autonomous regional government has a Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, which operates an agricultural radio and television school.

These are known as provincial schools and provide guidance to prefecture-level schools.

Prefecture-level schools are subordinate to the bureaus of agriculture and rural affairs under prefecture-level governments. They provide guidance to county-level schools.

County-level schools are subordinate to the bureaus of agriculture and rural affairs under county-level governments. They are responsible for educating and training farmers in their administrative areas.

Agricultural radio and television schools are also known as agricultural science and technology education and training centers, which is an alternative name for the same institutions.

The departments of agriculture and rural affairs at various administrative levels oversee many different subordinate institutions, one of which is the type I have described above.
