Dear Moderators,
I want to apologize sincerely for employing an auto-clicker on your server. I didn't know until this point that employing an auto-clicker is cheating, and I now realize how badly I have made a mistake. I think temporary banning me from the server is adequate punishment, allowing me time to think about what I've done. In addition, I am also willing to take part in a community service project within the server to atone for my actions. I would like to be sincere and honest about what I did, describe how I reached the decision, and offer my heartfelt apologies for violating your trust and the policies of the community.
Over the last two years, I have been running an auto clicker on your server, both in public spaces and my own island in SDB. I have removed the auto-clicker application from my machines so as not to have any more problems and have promised to play responsibly and honestly. I am also reading the rules and regulations of the server so that I can be more conscious of the expectations and restrictions. In addition, I will put more effort into contacting the community and seeking advice and input from other gamers with whom I have a mutual love of honesty in game. No one ever called me on it, so I foolishly assumed it was acceptable or at least not technically enforced. In retrospect, I can see how irresponsible and negligent an assumption that was. Just because I wasn't called on it doesn't mean it was acceptable. I myself am guilty of this judgment mistake.
I get confused by playing on other Minecraft servers, which have diverse rules and culture. Depending upon the servers on which I play, certain macros or mods may be permitted by some of them, and I forget to turn them off while switching over to big or serious public servers like yours. I realize that this is not an excuse; I should have made time to read your server's rules more thoroughly and then adapted my configuration accordingly. What I did compromised the integrity of your community, and I am truly sorry for that.
My server is important to me. It's been somewhere I've taken the time to build, learn, and play with others. The fact that I lost the community and potentially caused unfairness or harm to other people's experience personally troubles me. That wasn't ever my goal, but now I understand that intent does not negate impact.
I agree I have the right to feel the effect of what I've done. If I can avoid it, I would prefer to be banned for a month or two, not a lifetime. I completely understand the necessity of enforcement and of doing what is right, and I am not attempting to find ways to avoid punishment. I would hope that in the future I am offered another opportunity to come back onto the server and play fairly without cheats or rule violations. I promise to turn over a new leaf and have already begun to take measures to learn from my mistakes and make amends to my behavior. My commitment towards the community is real, evident through my past active engagement and cordial interaction with fellow members. By providing me with a second chance, you would be providing an opportunity for me to demonstrate that I am capable of being a good member of the server community and meeting its standards.
This experience has been an eye-opener for me, and I assure that if given a second chance, I will do my best to obey all the rules, delete any unfair mods or cheating tools, and play with the integrity and respect your server has coming to it.
Thanks for reading. In order to restore trust in the community, I suggest actively engaging in community activities and guiding new players around the server. Furthermore, I will also volunteer to lend a hand with any server projects or events that require additional manpower. Through ongoing displays of commitment to fair play and good interaction, I would like to be able to restore my reputation and be a contributing member in the community. Once again, I am really sorry for the harm. I need to thank your staff for the hard work and commitment they put towards running such an incredible server, and I want to demonstrate to you again in the future.
