A work schedule

I don't like my work schedule, I work five days per week. I used to work shifts, but I didn't like the job. Now I'm in an opposite situation. There are some disadvantages to shift work. For example, it might be that you don't have any weekends because a boss has made an inconvenient schedule. Moreover, when you have a day off, your colleagues can ask you something about work, so you feel like you're still on call. But working shifts is better for me because I want to be at home more often. I would rather work 2/2 (11 working hours) than work 5/2 (8 working hours).

However, I like my job. It's challenging. I love it, but at the same time, I hate it. I'm too anxious and insecure. Part of me craves challenges but another part would prefer working according to instructions. However, I know that in this case I would get bored soon, so the first part would win.

Now I'm in anthe opposite situation.

There are some disadvantages to shift work.

For example, it might be that you don't have any weekends because {a boss | your boss} has made an inconvenient schedule.

“A boss” is OK if the person has two or more bosses.

Moreover, when you have a day off, your colleagues can ask you something about work, so you feel like you're still on call.

But working shifts is better for me because I want to be at home more often.

I would rather work 2/2 (11 working hours per day) than work 5/2 (8 working hours per day).

I’m not familiar with the expression “2/2”, but I assume that “2/2 (11 working hours)” means you work two 11-hr days, then you have two days off, followed by two more 11-hr days, followed by two days off, etc.

However, I like my job.

It's challenging.
