The topic yesterday was a little bit heavy, so I want to share something relaxing today.
A couple weeks ago, I travelled in a small city called Lishui in Zhejiang Province and stayed in a homestay in the suburbs for two days.
There was a beautiful yard in the homestay. My friend and I liked it very much. One morning, we were enjoying our tea in the yard, cosy and comfortable. Then we noticed a swallow keep flying over our heads, round and round. We thought it was trying to find a place to build its nest, and then found there was already a swallow's nest there. The
homestay host told us the swallow has just flown back from where it spent the winter and during the time it was away, the nest was taken by a sparrow.
You can watch the whole story here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lrcXoqNSfY4.
And if you're learning Chinese, maybe you can try to listen to the Chinese dialogue in the video. I will add subtitles tomorrow to avoid revealing the plot.

Well done, Tammy!

Home stay is not wrong, but is in an uncommon term to actually use in English. People would normally say something like "I rented a room/house/apartment". Or maybe "Stayed in an airbnb" is getting popular these days, even if the platform you used wasn't actually airbnb.
Then we noticed a swallow keept flying over our heads, round and round.
"kept" is the past tense of "keep"

-> connect sentence
Then ...we noticed a swallow keept flying over our heads, round and round.
* not sure about "round and round". maybe it is ok or you can just omit it. But the sentence is okay so you can express your description.
We thought it was trying to find a place to build its nest, and then found but then the swallow might have found out that there was already a swallow's nest there."
Sentence seems wrong after "and then..."
Maybe this is better:
"We thought it was trying to find a place to build its nest but then it might have found out that there was already a another swallow's nest there."

Only minor mistakes with past tense and a comma. I will have to give the video a watch!
