Several months ago, I wanted to chat with two friends in English and Chinese, so we decided to use Teams as our communication tool.
Normally, we chat directly on Teams, just like an online meeting. Still, I started a new Teams community called "Chatting in Chinese and English" because I thought there might be some features that we could use during language learning.
Somehow, others found this community and even applied to join it, but their profile photos and nicknames appeared a little bit weird.
Do you know how to use the Teams Community function effectively?
Let me know if you have any suggestions.

A Bilingoual Teams Community
"Bilingo" is still perfectly understandable in my opinion, but it sounds like a slang word.

I don't Teams a lot. Most meetings I join often use Zoom and Google Meet.
About the people that joined, the talking one, he messaged me. At first, I replied but when I saw his profile picture, I blocked him 🥲😅. His introduction was weird too or maybe I'm thinking too much.

I think Teams is mostly used in businesses here, so people wouldn't be too familiar with it unless their employer used it. Generally Discord or Zoom gets used more for casual stuff, depending on the audience.

I’m not familiar with the term “bilingo.”

“During language learning” is unnatural. I’ve offered an alternative wording, but really you could simply delete “during language learning” and end the sentence with “use.”
Somehow, others found this community and even applied to join it, but their profile photos and nicknames appeared / seemed a little bit weird.
“Seemed” would be more natural.

I hadn’t realized the group was still active! I replaced my phone a few weeks ago and am having trouble logging into my personal Teams account, so I haven’t seen any messages that might have been posted to the group. I’ll work on resolving my login issues….
I wasn’t even aware of the Teams Community function until you invited me to join 😅 so I know almost nothing about it. Teams is primarily a work-related tool for me—it’s the main chat & collaboration tool at the company where I work—and I haven’t explored any of its features outside of work.
