A rice omelet I cooked by myself was very tasty!

Today, I cooked a rice omelet. When I cooked it, I used only microwave because I didn't buy any pan yet. It looked very well than I thought, so I was surprised! The taste was good, too! Through such experience, I thought I was born in the useful era again. (Today's diary entry is very short!💦)

"Making" an omelet sounds more natural than "cooking" an omelet. Not sure why, I think it's because cooking refers to the actual cooking process on the stove with heat, but when you prepare a dish from scratch you have to do more than that, you also have to prepare the ingredients, put them together, etc. So for any dish, whether it involves cooking or not, it sounds better to say that you "made" it, rather than "cooked" it. E.g.: - I made this omelet. - I'm going to make some soup. - I'm making chicken curry tonight. - I made you a sandwich.
