Waitng Time
Today, I went to the dentist at 9:30 a.m. to have the extraction site disinfected.
Since the treatment was just disinfection, it was supposed to take only a few minutes.
However, the previous patient’s treatment ran long, so it wasn’t until 9:45 that it was finally my turn.
Even then, the dentist was still busy with something else, so I had to wait in the chair.
If I had been in the waiting room, I could have used my smartphone, so I wish they hadn’t called me in so early.
A few minutes later, the dentist came over and quickly checked and disinfected the area.
I had already prepaid for today’s treatment and booked my next appointment, so I just needed to get my patient card to leave.
But right after my treatment finished, the receptionist stepped away, so I had to wait a few more minutes.
Of course, there have been days when I was seen earlier than my appointment time, so I understand that delays happen depending on the previous patient.
Still, I wish I could leave right away after the treatment.

今回の治療費は既に前払いしており、次回の予約も済んでいたため、あとは診察券を受け取れば帰宅できるのですが、私の治療が終わったタイミングで丁度受付が不在に。
また数分待たされてしまいました。
勿論、日によっては予約時間より早く治療を受けられる時もあり、前の客の治療状況で待ち時間が発生するのは諦めるしかありません。
とはいえ、治療後はさっさと帰らせてほしいのですが……

I hate how long waiting feels at the dentist. I can only imagine how dreadful it'll feel when I eventually have to get my wisdom teeth extracted . . .
