我的第一个写日记本

2021年6月5号

我是小学生。只最近我开始但是我已经知道我会学习所有的生活。

我也已经知道我爱中文。这语感觉美丽和聪明。我特别喜欢数学东西的名字。

当然,我非常喜欢中国文化和中国菜。

My first journal entry:

I am a beginner student*. I have only recently started but I already know that I will study for the rest of my life.

I also already know that I love Chinese. The language feels very beautiful and intelligent. I especially like the names of mathematical things.

Of course, I really like Chinese culture and Chinese cuisine.

*I don't think this quite has an accurate translation. I realize I am saying I'm a 'primary school student', but I also like the literal meaning of 'I am a small student'. As I'm just beginning, overall, and a young child will be more adept at the language than me, I find it appropriate to refer to myself as such. I am small; 一天我希望是大. I also find calling myself a 'small student' a bit humorous, as I am an adult.

我的第一个日记本

@”写“ is a verb,in normal circumstances,the property of [ XX 的 XX ] is [noun 的 noun]

@If we just modify the original text of Chinese:
①“我的第一个日记本”
②“我写的第一个日记本”

@According to the original text of English ” My first journal entry “
There isn‘t a verb in the English, and [②“我写的第一个日记本”——[写] (verb)] include verb

END:Choose ①“我的第一个日记本”

TIPS:
*We can surely stop in this step ,because I believe that revise the original text as little as possible. But I’d like to offer some stylistic suggestions.*
I checked the word in my dictionary and Pleco——there are some similar meaning for " entry" as a noun in Chinese ——[账目][账面][分录]——but these tend to feel more like business books.

And back to Chinese, the straight translation of ”日记“ is [diary]

!NATIVE WORD INTRODUCE
[手账]In China, many young people use this word to name daily notes.
(I only found that the translation result was "hand account"…I don't know if it's weird in English?)

This written form surely have been a lot since ancient times in the world, but I supposed it seems to have gradually been widely used in recent years ,and for literal ,for single word, the word [手账] might evolute from[手賬](Maybe from the Japanese? They use similar characters, but I am not sure )

我是小学生。

It's excellent to convey your feeling!

TIPS:
If we don't add some preconditions, will misunderstand the meaning of ”小学生“ which belongs to the social aspect (real body ages).
So maybe we can modify the sentence to"在学习上,我是小学生。“

I think “accurate” is not only mean correct translation, but also stands for delivering your feeling and balancing the meaning of two languages ,because we must remember that translation is never one-to-one (except special nouns like names or professional terms).

最近开始但是我已经知道我会学习所有的生活余生

@” only “can means [只][只有][才]
①[只] more focus on [only one],
②[才] more focus on [just now]
and the word order doesn't make sense.

@In Chinese, timely segmentation will make reading more comfortable and avoid being tired.

@*NOT NECESSARY,just offer some suggestions to enhance feeling.*
Even though “会” contains some feeling of future tense ,it is still too slight.
So maybe we can add [将] to compose the word ——”将会“.(The feeling of future is stronger)

@” the rest of my life“ can straightly translate to [余生](very literary and poetic)

END:”我最近才开始,但是我已经知道我将会学习余生。“

TIPS:
!NATIVE WORD INTRODUCE
[活到老,学到老]
——“我最近才开始,但是我已经知道我将会活到老学到老。”
(There is no need to add punctuation ,and more integrated into the sentence, but decrease some romantic intonation.)

这语感觉美丽聪明。

@“语” isn‘t a complete noun in modern Chinese.

@“and” can translate to [和][又][还有]

END:”这语言感觉美丽又聪明。“
A bit anthropomorphic and lively, because ”美丽“and ”聪明“ usually are used in people.
Actually, there is a hidden supplement:”这语言(令人)感觉美丽又聪明。“

我特别喜欢数学东西的名字。

Sorry,I am not very clear about what do you mean by” mathematical“ in this text.
