‎今天我去了一个命名仪式。

去仪式前，我想到了我们喜欢给孩子很多名字。

Today I went to a naming ceremony. Before going to the ceremony, I thought about how we like to give children many names. At a naming ceremonies I attended, the child had around ten or more names. I kept wondering, why give so many names? Apart from the first three, the child probably won’t even use the rest. Later I asked my mom why, and she said family members want to give the child names, and the child can also use those names in private. Luckily, I only have four. Remembering too many names would be too troublesome.

我去过的一个命名仪式，那个小孩有大概十多个名字。

除了前三名子个，小孩也很可能不会用到其他名字。

记起要记得很多名字也太麻烦了。
