الْأَسَدُ الْعَجُوْزُ
يُحْكَى أَنَّهُ فِيْ أَحَدِ أَحْرَاشِ إِفْرِيْقِيَّا، عَاشَ أَسَدٌ حَيَاةَ أُسُوْدٍ سَعِيْدَةً.
It is said that in one of the African jungles, a lion lived a happy life.
فَقَدْ تَمَيَّزَ بِسُرْعَتِهِ الْفَائِقَةِ وَمَهَارَتِهِ فِي الصَّيْدِ.
It was distinguished by its great speed and hunting skills.
فَكَانَتْ جَمِيْعُ الْحَيْوَانَاتِ تَخْشَاهُ وَتَحْسَبُ لَهُ أَلْفَ حِسَابٌ.
So all the animals feared him and took him into great account.
وَلٰكِنَّ دَوَامَ الْحَالِ مِنَ الْمُحَالِ.
However, the continuity of circumstances is impossible.
فَقَدْ طُعِنَ فِي السِّنِّ وَانْخَفَضَتْ سُرْعَتُهُ وَنَدُرَ صَيْدُهُ.
He had grown old, his speed decreased, and his hunting became rare.
وَسُرْعَانَ مَا اكْتَشَفَتْ حَيْوَانَاتُ الْغَابَةِ عَجْزَهُ
And the animals of the forest soon discovered his weakness.
فَأَصْبَحُوْا يُلَقِّبُوْنَهُ بِالْأَسَدِ الْخَائِبِ.
So they began calling him the failed lion.
أَصَابَ الْجُوْعُ الْأَسَدَ الْعَجُوْزَ وَاضْطُرَّ اِلَى الْمُكُوْثِ فِيْ عَرِيْنِهٖ دُوْنَ حَرَاكٍ.
Hunger afflicted the old lion, and he was forced to stay in his den without moving.
وَفِيْ يَوْمٍ مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ اقْتَرَبَ غَزَالٌ مِنَ الْعَرِيْنِ فَسَمِعَ أَنِيْنَ الْأَسَدِ الْهَرِمِ
One day, a gazelle approached the den and heard the groaning of the aged lion.
فَنَادَاهُ قَائِلاً:
So he called to him, saying:
مَا بِكَ أَيُّهَا الْأَسَدُ؟ لِمَاذَا أَنْتَ تَئِنُّ هٰكَذَا؟
What is wrong with you, O lion? Why are you groaning like this?
إِنَّنِيْ مَرِيْضٌ جِدًّا وَأَظُنُّ أَنَّ الْمَوْتَ يَتَرَبَّصُ بِيْ.
I am very sick, and I think that death is lying in wait for me.
أَرْجُوْكَ يَا صَدِيْقِيْ إِقْتَرِبْ وَنَاوِلْنِيْ شُرْبَةَ مَاءٍ.
I beg you, my friend, come closer and give me a sip of water.
تَعَاطَفَ الْغَزَالُ مَعَ الْأَسَدِ الْعَجُوْزِ فَاقْتَرَبَ مِنْهُ حَتّٰى يُسْقِيَهُ شُرْبَةَ الْمَاءِ.
The gazelle sympathized with the old lion and approached him to give him a sip of water.
وَلٰكِنَّ الْأَسَدَ اسْتَجْمَعَ مَا بَقِيَ لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ
But the lion gathered what remained of his strength
وَارْتَمٰى عَلٰى الْغَزَالِ الْمِسْكِيْنِ وَافْتَرَسَهُ.
And he pounced on the poor gazelle and devoured it.
وَهٰكَذَا تَعَلَّمَ الْأَسَدُ حِيْلَةً جَدِيْدَةً أَنْقَذَتْهُ مِنَ الْهَلَاكِ.
And thus, the lion learned a new trick that saved him from perishing.
الْأَسَدُ الْعَجُوْزُ
يُحْكَى أَنَّهُ فِيْ أَحَدِ أَحْرَاشِ إِفْرِيْقِيَّا، عَاشَ أَسَدٌ حَيَاةَ أُسُوْدًٍ سَعِيْدَةً.
you can add the the word " أُسُوْدٍ"but i saw what you said and it basically means
a lion lived a happy lions life

i really like this sentence cause it's rare and sounded perfect in arabic

I corrected the mistakes
