עברתי אי פעם שיעור שפה עם מורה פרטי?
עברתי כמה שיעורי עברית עם מורה פרטי. בשיעור הראשון אנכנו הכרנו זה עם זה והוא גילה את רמת היכולת שלי בעברית. הוא שאל אותי מה המטרות שלי ואמרתי שאני רוצה לדבר עם המשפחה של בן זוג בתי. אני נזכרת שבכיתי בגלל שאני כל כך מתוסכלת על כך שלא יכולתי להביע עצמי.
אחרי שהשלמנו ארבעה או חמישה שיעורים אז המורה סיפר לי שאני לא הייתי זקוקה לו, שאני פשוט הייתי זקוקה להתאמן לדבר. מאותו הזמן יש לי שיחה שבועית בווטסאפ עם אמא של בן זוג בתי ואין לי היה עוד שיעורים עם המורה.
I took some Hebrew lessons with a private tutor. In the first lesson we got to know each other and he figured out my level of ability in Hebrew. He asked me what my goals were and I said I wanted to talk to my daughter's spouse's family. I remember crying because I was so frustrated that I could not express myself.
After we completed four or five lessons the teacher told me I didn’t need him, I just needed to practice speaking. Since then I have had a weekly WhatsApp conversation with my daughter's spouse's mother and I have had no more lessons with the teacher.

You won't hear האם much in casual speech, but you should almost always use it in more formal writing. It isn't always immediately clear you're asking a yes/no question and האם helps to clarify.
When asking questions like this it's better to use the plural because people usually take more than just one private lesson.
עברשיתי כמה שיעורי עברית עם מורה פרטי.
בשיעור הראשון אנכחנו הכרנו זה עםו את זה והוא גילההבין את רמת היכולת שלי בעברית.
זה את זה refers to the two of you, so you should use the feminine זו for yourself.
הבין is a better translation of figure out.
הוא שאל אותי מהן המטרות שלי ואמרתי שאני רוצה לדבר עם המשפחה של בן הזוג של בתי.
Like in your last journal with מהי, it's better to attach the pronoun ending to מה when possible.
בן זוג בתי is a bit long and can sound confusing, so I broke it up.
אני נזוכרת שבכיתי בגלל שאנהייתי כל כך מתוסכלת על כך שלא יכולתי להביע את עצמי.
נזכרת means "reminded."
על כך is correct but you don't really need it here, so it's better without it.
אחרי שהשלסיימנו ארבעה או חמישה שיעורים אז, המורה סיפאמר לי שאני לא הייתי זקוקה לצריכה אותו, שאני פשוט הייתי זקוקה להתאמן לדבצריכה לתרגל דיבור.
I'm assuming that what you're trying to say here is that the teacher said you didn't need him anymore after 4 or 5 lessons.
להשלים שיעורים means to make up class that you missed. לסיים שיעור means you completed them.
סיפר means to tell someone something long, like a story. אמר is better here.
להתאמן means to train. Instead you should use לתרגל.
זקוק is a little to formal, צריך sounds better.
If you were saying that the teacher said you never needed him to begin with, a correct sentence would be:
אחרי שסיימנו ארבעה או חמישה שיעורים, המורה אמר לי שאני לא הייתי צריכה אותו, אני פשוט הייתי צריכה לתרגל דיבור.
מאותו הזמן יש ליז אני עושה שיחה שבועית בווטסאפ עם אמא של בן הזוג של בתי ואין לי היה עודיותר שיעורים עם המורה.

I've never had a private tutor, but it sounds like he helped you a lot. I guess it's always good to have someone who can help you individually like that.

The tutor gave me some ideas of how to progress, but most importantly, he gave me the confidence to go ahead and start speaking the language. Thank you for all your corrections -- they are very informative. :-)
