Knowledge and introspection

Proclus put the idea of introspection as a way to know God into Plato's mouth. He said that, according to the views of the ancient philosopher, the human being, as a creation of God, had the capacity of knowing his creator by seeing at himself as in a mirror. The act of seeing into one's mind as a place to be explored is what we call introspection. This idea had a wide and deep influence in was it's called the Latin Neoplatonism, and, one can argue, it was very important for the construction of the modern way of seeing. It anticipated the more radical doctrine that the external world isn't anything but the projection of our inner world.

Knowledge and introspection
Proclus put the idea of introspection as a way to know God into Plato's mouth.
To "put something into someone's mouth" to me suggests that it's *not* something the person would have wanted to say. "I think I like the red dress better than the blue one." "Oh, so you hate the blue one?" "No, you're putting words in my mouth, I just prefer the red one."

It's a sort of aggressive expression. I'm not familiar enough with Proclus and Plato to know if that's exactly what you wanted :) But I would probably expect something more like "Proclus interpreted Plato's writing as developing the idea of introspection as a way to know God."
He said that, according to the views of the ancient philosopher, the human being, as a creation of God, had the capacity of knowing his creator by seelooking at himself as in a mirror.
We can "see things" and "look at things", but we can't "see at things" or "look things".
The act of seeing into one's mind as if it's a place to be explored is what we call introspection.
Or "the act of seeing one's mind as a place".
This idea had a wide and deep influence in was it'hat was called the Latin Neoplatonism, and, one can argue, it was very important for the construction of the modern way of seeingperspective.
"way of seeing" is grammatically correct but sounds quite awkward. I'm not sure if perspective is exactly the word you'd want, but it seems to fit.
It anticipated the more radical doctrine that the external world isn't anything but the projection of our inner world.
